Q. Nice first round. 5-under. Can you just give us your thoughts on the day?
DOUG GHIM: It was good. Obviously always a nervy first day back from a break. I didn't play Sony, so it was my first round of the year and it was nice to get off to a good start and looking forward to the rest of the week.
Q. Take us through your highlights, especially on the front?
DOUG GHIM: Yeah, I mean, I say I was nervous but it probably didn't look so. I made a pretty good putt and 1 and made another really good putt on 3 for birdie and then I hit probably my best shot of the day, I had like a 3-wood from 270 on 4 into the wind and I hit that to about nine feet and I was 4-under through 4. So obviously a start that everyone wants to have, especially at the start of the season and, yeah, it was a pretty solid day.
Q. What is it about this place that seems to suit you?
DOUG GHIM: Yeah, I mean it's not far from home, I live in Vegas now, so it's pretty close. Yeah, I guess the golf courses just fit my eye, I love it here, it's a cool vibe to it when I come here and so, yeah, I mean, I don't know really know what it is, but I feel comfortable here and looking forward to being here for many years to come.
Q. You said it's your first start of 2022. What did you do in your off-season?
DOUG GHIM: Yeah, obviously trying to get better at everything, much like any other player, but, yeah, I worked really hard around the greens, been working hard with my putting coaches and so, yeah, I guess putting is probably a main focal point and I putted pretty well out there today.
