Q. Are you happy with that round?
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: I feel okay about the round. I think the golf course is playing nice. There's punishment out there with the heavy rough, and obviously a lot of hazards. A bit of a breeze this afternoon. Overall felt like I did some decent things out there and gave myself some chances.
Q. You said it was okay. What were the good things you felt like you did and what are things you feel like you could have done better?
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: I hit a ball kind of out of play off of a tee. Felt like I could have holed a few more putts. At the end of the day I did a lot of good things on the course. Hit a lot of good putts. I stayed patient out there. I didn't try and force anything around the golf course. I gave myself enough opportunities to shoot a better score, I just wasn't able to score as well as I would have hoped to.
Q. Will you hit balls tonight, and if so what do you work on?
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: I'll hit a couple. Randy is here, so just make sure I got the right feels. Then maybe hit a few putts, then get some dinner and get out of here.
Q. (Indiscernible).
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: Yeah, lined up good. That was a putt I had practiced before. For that pin I kind of aim a little bit short in that little valley. So I practiced that putt and had a decent read on it. Any time you see putts from that length go in, it's usually a pretty good thing.
Q. What do you put those missed putts down to?
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: So the hole is about this big. Sometimes when you're putting from 10 feet it could go in here and then other times it ends up right there. So you tell me.
Q. Are you surprised that the greens haven't firmed up the past couple days with all the sunshine?
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: I mean, it sounded like we got a lot of rain. Sounds like you're trying to write something about the golf course, so I'm not going to bite. But I appreciate the effort.
Q. Anything feel different this year compared to last year or just continuing the same momentum?
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: When it comes to tournament to tournament, going into today, I didn't think at all about last year. Last year doesn't truly matter when it comes to this tournament. This is a new four rounds and 72 holes and today I got off to a good start. Like I said, I feel like I could have posted a little bit of a better number, but overall I'm pleased with the results. I did some good things that I'll look to hone in and maybe shoot a little lower tomorrow.
