Q. Congratulations. You have won the biggest tournament of your career by staying incredibly calm on an incredibly volatile golf course. That was tense today. How did you handle it so well to ultimately come out on top?
CAMERON YOUNG: Yeah, it's something we've worked a ton on. And this week, going into it, you know it's going to be like that, if the wind blows at all this place is volatile, like you said. I feel like we just kept ourselves in a really good spot all day today, really all week. The nerves kicked in over the 8-inch putt on the last. That hole looked really, really small there from pretty close range. So happy to have finished it off, and just really excited to have played the way I did.
Q. You hit the longest drive of the day on 18. We have to speak about your form on 17. You birdied 17 the last three consecutive days. You obviously have a secret to the island green. Describe how you pulled this off under that pressure?
CAMERON YOUNG: Yeah, it ended up being a great number. It's 130 over that bunker, and I got see Matt hit a sand wedge right in front of me. And I felt like if he flew it right about where I was looking I felt that I could fly it the same number. So it was just a full out, not as many nerves as a little touchy, feely one would have been.
Q. It took you 94 starts to break through and win on the PGA TOUR at the Wyndham Championship at the end of last season. You made it to the Ryder Cup, which was a huge goal of yours up in New York. How much has that freed you up do you think, now winning again in just 10 starts since the Wyndham?
CAMERON YOUNG: I think it does a little bit. In some sense there's a little bit of pressure off, but the same pressure that I have put on myself since I was a kid is still there. So it's more a battle against that than any pressure of not winning or not winning enough. But, yeah, I mean, to have now put my name on two different tournaments, and a big one like THE PLAYERS, I mean, it's incredibly special and I'm hoping that I can continue that throughout the season.
