HARRY HIGGS: A little irritated and 13 and 14. I think I was about a yard or two on each of them from having a tap-in eagle and a tap-in birdie. But hit a couple of good shots into 15 and holed the putt, it's always nice to get a birdie before you go to 16.
Funny enough, I hit a good shot and I had that same putt to the same pin, it would have been two years ago. And I'm marking the ball and my brother goes, Is there any way that this doesn't go in the hole? And I just turned to him and I was like, No, we've seen this before, I didn't play enough break two years ago. And fortunately the thing went in the hole.
And then I hit a really, really, the best shot I hit today was the pitch shot on 17, like a high, cut spinner that has to land on about the size of a coffee table or else it's going to go in the water.
So, yeah, it was nice to execute some shots with a bunch of people around and send them into a fervor for a little bit.
Q. I thought your ball striking was really good, 15 of 18 greens. That's really important because I thought the greens were a little on the firm side more than we usually have here?
HARRY HIGGS: Yeah, they were definitely firmer for a Thursday. This place gets -- they don't have weather here so this place gets concrete come Saturday, Sunday.
But did, we had a bounce, playing in the afternoon it really kicks up a little bit. But that's what makes it fun here. The golf course at times can leave a little to be desired, but you do have to think your way around it. And it does matter driving the ball into the fairway or just into the rough, there's some holes you just can't get close to.
Yeah, I definitely did a better job, I need to go iron our a few shots here and there to make sure it's sharp for tomorrow and the weekend, for sure.
