Q. I know it's been a long week, a lot of stopping and starting. Finished strong today with a 7-under 64. Just a few comments on what you felt good about today and this week.
SAM BURNS: Yeah, it was a weird week. Usually you come here thinking it's going to be 75 and sunny and you get a little wind and the golf course is firm and fast.
But the Lord had a little different plan for us this week. I think it was kind of an endurance test a little bit.
I think a lot of good signs this week in my game. Just felt nice to get the year off to a good start.
Q. You've got another big one coming up at Riviera. What are you able to take away from here mentally or mechanically that you're looking forward to there?
SAM BURNS: Yeah, next week is always a fun week, just such an amazing golf course and venue. I think I need to clean up my iron play a little bit. I think I drove it really well, gave myself a lot of chances, just wasn't as sharp as I would have liked to have been with my irons and wedges.
A few days to kind of clean that up, and I look forward to playing Riviera.
Q. Looks like Charley is going to get it done today; how great of a story is that and how exciting is that for you guys to see him --
SAM BURNS: Yeah, I'm sure Waste Management is loving this. I know Nick has a couple more holes left, and it's going to be a heck of a finish. Obviously Nick likes this place a lot, too, so I know he would love to try to make a couple birdies or at least a birdie and force a playoff at least after what happened last year.
Overall a fantastic week. I love playing this event. I love coming here. What the Thunderbirds do for the community is fantastic, too. It was all in all a great week.
