Q. You got off to a hot start this morning. What did you find out there early that was working for your game?
RASMUS HOJGAARD: Well, I was hitting it well into the greens, gave myself some good birdie looks and rolled the putter nicely. That's what got the round started there in the first nine holes, and then from there it was a bit more of a struggle.
Q. What about the eagle that you had; walk us through that.
RASMUS HOJGAARD: Yeah, hit a great drive in the fairway there on 3, tricky flag, back left. Just hit it on top, on the top level there, and then rolled in a long putt. It was nice to see that one go in.
Q. This is your first time out here; what was the experience like on 16 today, your first shot at it?
RASMUS HOJGAARD: It was good. I expect it's going to be a lot louder tomorrow afternoon. But yeah, there was a good showing out there early in the morning.
Q. How often do you play with your brother in the same TOUR event?
RASMUS HOJGAARD: Well, we've done it quite a lot. We've played a lot together on the DP World Tour.
Now we get to do it over here, which is nice.
Q. Are you guys staying together right now out here, like in the same place? What's the mindset in terms of the communication throughout the week?
RASMUS HOJGAARD: Well, we're staying in the same hotel, not sharing rooms but same hotel. We kind of see each other too much. It's nice to have each other around. It makes it a bit more fun.
Q. How often do you guys kind of share ideas throughout the course of a tournament, or do you stay separate throughout these next couple days?
RASMUS HOJGAARD: I mean, we look at it very similar. It's not like one of us is completely different than the other when it comes to playing golf. Yeah, we do talk a lot about what we think is the right strategy, and usually it's very much the same.
Q. Are you going to plan on trying to see him the rest of his round right now, or what's your plan for the rest of the day?
RASMUS HOJGAARD: I'm going to go in and have a nice lunch, and if he's going to be shown on TV, I'll look at him from there.
Q. How would you describe your similarities and differences between you and him personality-wise?
RASMUS HOJGAARD: I guess we're very similar in the way that we're very calm most of the time. We don't let emotions take over too much. He's probably a little bit more quieter than I am. But very much the same, really.
Q. In terms of off-course hobbies or other sports, are those similar for you and him? Do you play other sports together, games together?
RASMUS HOJGAARD: Well, we don't play much other sports. We like to play tennis a little bit when we've got time for that. But we do follow a lot of sports, so that's kind of our hobbies.
Q. What other sports do you like to follow?
RASMUS HOJGAARD: Well, we are following football and basketball a lot more now that we're over here. Back home we follow soccer and tennis.
Q. Who are your teams that you root for?
RASMUS HOJGAARD: We're both supporting Man United. Going through a rough period at the moment, but we're going to get on the other side of that.
Q. Any football or basketball teams that you support over here?
RASMUS HOJGAARD: Well, I do follow the Lakers a little bit, but when it comes to football, I'm going to have to spend more time over here to find a team.
Q. Had you been to Arizona before this tournament?
RASMUS HOJGAARD: No, this is my first time here.
Q. What are your initial thoughts, just the area as a whole? Do you like it out here?
RASMUS HOJGAARD: Yeah, it's a nice spot. The weather has been nice this week. It's nice with a bit more heat than last week. Last week was cold. It feels warm this week.
