Q. Adam, you had seven straight birdies midway through the round. What was clicking in that stretch?
ADAM HADWIN: Everything. Yeah, just one of those things, just put the ball in the fairway, try and make some good swings, made a couple nice putts, hit a couple wedge shots close. Two-putted 17 and No. 3, and just a little bit of everything.
Q. Do you know what the TOUR record is --
ADAM HADWIN: For birdies? I probably fell short of it because I missed the putt on 4. But I have no clue, no. I was trying to make as many as I could.
Q. It's nine, so you were close.
ADAM HADWIN: Getting closer.
Q. There's a lot of Canadian support out here. To put on a show at a tournament with a lot of Canadians and one of the rowdier tournaments --
ADAM HADWIN: Yeah, it was fun. This year hasn't gone as well as I would have liked so far, so it was nice to kind of get into that rhythm kind of for the first time this year of just good-quality golf shots, hitting it where I want to hit it, making a few putts, and just kind of flowing a little bit, so that was nice. I wish I would have finished a little stronger, but good position going into this weekend.
Q. What are you looking forward to this weekend, being in one of the final groups on one of the rowdiest days in golf?
ADAM HADWIN: Yeah, it'll be a lot of fun. I've got memories here with Jon and Scottie in final groups, so kind of lean on that and just try and get on the roll that I was on today.
Q. You ran into a little bit of trouble on 16 yesterday. Today you --
ADAM HADWIN: Just a little.
Q. What was the difference in those two days in the mindset or the approach?
ADAM HADWIN: Well, the biggest thing was today not to shank it. That was a big thought going into the hole. Just make solid contact today. So I did feel like I was most improved out there.
But yeah, yesterday was just a bad golf swing at the wrong time. Thankfully we were late enough in the day where most of the crowd was gone. But yeah, I made a really good swing today. It was a good number. It's always nice kind of rolling one in in front of them.
Q. During that shot did you hear any support from the Canadian fan base?
ADAM HADWIN: Oh, of course. The Canadian support down here is incredible. Walking up 16 -- walking really this entire golf course, they're kind of cheering you on the whole way. It'll be a lot of fun this weekend. Hopefully just kind of continue doing what I'm doing, make birdies, and see how close we can get.
