Q. Thomas, 12-under through two rounds, in the lead so far. How do you feel about your game and what's been clicking for you?
THOMAS DETRY: Pretty good. I've actually been very comfortable on the greens this week. Did some good work with my coach, and the greens are rolling just as good as it gets. They're much quicker than last week, obviously, at Pebble. They had to slow them down at Pebble because of the wind.
Just very comfortable on the greens. I've been hitting a lot of fairways, as well. The greens are getting firm. I think they're going to get firmer and firmer over the weekend, as well. The fairways are kind of the key. I've got this low-tee drive which has been working pretty well the last couple of weeks. Good fairway finder.
Q. Have you worked on that specifically this year, that shot in particular?
THOMAS DETRY: Not really. It's kind of a shot that I've had in the bag for a long time, but I seem to use it more and more. Instead of kind of let it get ripped, just kind of hitting that low tee, and it actually goes further than when I try to hit it hard. It kind of rolls forever.
Q. Who's your coach, and what type of work did you do --
THOMAS DETRY: I've got two. I've got a putting coach, Mike Kanski. We've done a good bit of putting this week with him. And I've got a swing coach called Jerome Theunis, Belgian. He was there two weeks ago. We did some good work with him, as well. Worked a little bit on my approach play. My iron shots have not been as sharp as I've wanted them to be, but it's getting better.
Q. In terms of thinking about the crowd on 16, do you adjust a yard or two for adrenaline or do you play the same numbers?
THOMAS DETRY: Not quite. Maybe on Sunday. Not quite right now. No, it's just fun. The crowds, people are just here to have a good time and you've got to embrace it. It's really fun.
Actually I holed a great putt on 9 for birdie, probably a 40- or 50-footer and got everybody going. It's just fun to give the crowds what they want, a bit of fun, and give a good look at a hole-in-one, which is what I did the last two days. Almost dunked it yesterday, and today was pretty close.
Q. You got closest to the pin on 16. (Indiscernible).
THOMAS DETRY: No. I kind of had the perfect yardage. The wind kind of switched a little bit, so instead of being off the right and in, it was slightly down, so it was a perfect wedge for me. The greens are so firm that you kind of want to come in with full shots, kind of coming from high, full shots with spin. So it was perfect full wedge, and it pitched in a perfect spot, and I think it spun a little bit. Just a kick-in birdie.
Q. (Indiscernible) knowing that the crowd is also so close to you?
THOMAS DETRY: No, honestly it doesn't really affect us. It's a different tournament than the average PGA TOUR event. People are just loud, but it's fun. It's part of it. It's just a constant loud noise, and it doesn't really affect us. We love it.
When we hear sound, it just means someone got a good shot and beers is probably flying.
