Q. Can you talk about the day overall? I mean, put yourself in position.
MICHAEL THORBJORNSEN: Yeah.
Q. Had to feel good.
MICHAEL THORBJORNSEN: Started the day two back; kind of tried to get to a similar start I did yesterday, kind of get some birdies early so I can settle in nicely.
Feel like I did that.
Felt pretty good throughout the whole round. Hitting good shots. Then, yeah, I mean, golf is tough. Winning a tournament is tough.
So I feel like keep putting yourself in that position, I mean, it's going to happen at some point. I feel like I've gotten close a few times now. Just going to make -- when I do win it's just going to make it sweeter.
Q. Talk about the shot at 15, because you had 180 something, 11 feet, put yourself in the lead.
MICHAEL THORBJORNSEN: Yeah. Hit a really good drive there. We were a little bit in between clubs. Chose the longer club. Hit a really good shot; executed it really well; landed pin high, and, yeah, made that putt.
Q. What was the club in?
MICHAEL THORBJORNSEN: It was an 8-iron. So we were in between 9 and 8.
Q. Okay. Then, yeah, maybe too jacked up?
MICHAEL THORBJORNSEN: Yeah, I'm not too sure what it was. I want to say adrenaline. Playing that hole is tough enough, and then doing it well early in the tournament makes it even tougher.
But I hit a really good shot. It was just left of the pin. JJ and I were both a little shocked that it flew pin high. Obviously we were trying to land it 12, 13 yards short.
Just, yeah, probably hit the wrong club or hit it too hard or adrenaline. Whatever it was, we'll figure it out and be okay.
Q. What do you take away from it? What did you learn?
MICHAEL THORBJORNSEN: Yeah, again, you put yourself in those positions more and more, you get more comfortable, you learn every single time whether you do well or -- I mean whether the result is good or bad necessarily. If you're talking about wins or losses.
I don't think I failed out there. I'm just learning. So, yeah, I put myself in that position. I was leading after what, 70 holes, 69 holes, whatever it was. I mean, we're inching our way closer and closer. It'll happen at some point.
