Quick Quotes

Q. How would you assess the day?

TYRRELL HATTON: Got off to a nice start. Disappointing to drop a shot on 8. That's probably the most friendly pin you can have on that green. A pretty poor iron shot in there.

But happy I bounced back with a nice birdie on 9.

Then the back nine was just quite frustrating. Hit some good shots, but didn't take advantage of -- just couldn't hole the putts.

Then finally holed one on 17.

Then, yeah, 18's just a bit of a kick in the teeth way to finish. Felt really comfortable over the first putt. It was a lot quicker than anticipated. Then I think that's probably the first putt I missed inside four and a half feet all week on the last. So, yeah, it's a pretty painful way to finish.

I'm sure the guys that were -- I think 11-under is leading. They will probably be 12-, maybe 13- or something by the end of the round. So yes, it's a massive step back what just happened on the last green. But we'll try and -- we'll give it our best tomorrow.

Q. Hole 16 is really unique. Why is it unique to you and just what do you enjoy most about playing hole 16?

TYRRELL HATTON: Well it's the only par-3 that has a stadium like that around it. It's a great little hole. It's short. It can be pretty tough when it's quite breezy to get the right distance. The atmosphere created around there is certainly unmatched to any other par-3 that we play throughout the year.

Q. And there's generally not a big crowd at these holes. So how do you deal with hole 16 and the unique factors of that?

TYRRELL HATTON: You got, what, close to 300,000 people out there today. So it is big crowds pretty much everywhere. It's just they make a bit more noise on 16.
