Quick Quotes

Q. Almost 184 feet of putts made, 23 putts, and over seven strokes gained. Feeling it out there today, eh?

NICK TAYLOR: Yeah, it felt like I was seeing the lines great. Speed was awesome. Yeah, I don't know what to say. I've probably never putted that well. Yeah, saw the lines great, and it was a continuation of last night. Started on 16, was nice, and making a putt there and seeing it go in was nice.

Q. Big change in conditions from yesterday to today, certainly for the guys in the morning. Key moment in your round, that par save there at 7. What happened with that bunker shot?

NICK TAYLOR: Yeah, I didn't hit a bunker shot for a while. Maybe that was it. But pretty simple there, obviously just caught too much ball. No, I hit it great, hit a bunch of fairways. Having ball in hand is obviously nice when you're in the fairway, so hopefully we'll just continue that and get going here pretty quick.

Q. Just describe how you were able to capitalize on these conditions.

NICK TAYLOR: Yeah, obviously we got a pretty nice wave with this. But I drove it great, ball in hand, and was hitting my irons nice, and I essentially made every putt I looked at. It was a day that you don't want it to end. Luckily I'm going to play another round here, so hopefully I can keep that going. But everything has worked really well.

Q. What is the schedule now for the next 30 minutes as you get set to go back out there?

NICK TAYLOR: Yeah, grab a quick bite. I think I'm teeing off in 30 minutes, so it's obviously a pretty quick turnaround, but when you're playing well, you want to keep playing, so it's a good thing.

Q. Folks around here love you, especially considering your runner-up finish last year. What was the fan support out here as you were making 184 feet of putts?

NICK TAYLOR: It was awesome. A lot of Canadians come down here, as well. Crowd support has been amazing. Hopefully I can keep it going.

Q. The Canadian support out there, what was that like for you in Arizona, having that type of support?

NICK TAYLOR: I've been here a lot. Every year is great support. There's a lot of fans here in general, but having a lot of Canadian support has been amazing.

Q. How much did 59 come into your mind?

NICK TAYLOR: Not really. I just want to keep making as many birdies as I can. After a missed opportunity probably on 6 and sneaking away with par on 7, it was kind of done there. I wanted to keep the round going and finish it off.
