Q. Scottie, congratulations, your second win in the last three starts. It was an emotional one. Where does this win rank for you?
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: It was great. I trusted myself and Teddy as much as I have probably in any round. I did not swing the club well at all today off the tee. I was hitting a lot of bad spots, but I just kept grinding. I made some key putts towards the end and two great lie putts to finish off the round.
Q. This course shows how difficult it is to win on the PGA TOUR. Can you describe how challenging of a match it was for you today? Your wife there.
(Brief conversation.)
Q. Scottie, with the win, you move to No. 1 in the FedExCup standings. What does it mean to you?
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: It means a lot. I've been playing some good golf the last few years, and it's nice to get a couple wins under my belt. I'm looking forward to the rest of the season.
Q. Scottie, unbelievable performance, gutsy on the back nine. Pars on 15 and 16 was gut check time.
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: I would say the pars on 17 and 18 were gut check time too. The finishing stretch here is so brutal. 15, 17, and 18 are such hard holes. I knew it was going to be tough coming down the stretch, but just kind of hung in there all day.
Q. I saw you hug a lady behind there. Was that your grandma you were hugging?
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: My grandma's here, both my parents, and then my wife.
Q. I met your dad here today. He's walking around here with a glow. In the media, we talk about, hey, maybe the win gets the lid off. Maybe we're right with you. And part two is what does it mean to win this tournament with Arnold Palmer's name on it?
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: It means a ton. It's such a great field. Such a difficult golf course. I'm very pleased with how today went. I really don't know what to say. I'm just really happy right now.
