Q. 71 to start. Just some opening comments on getting a good round started here at Bay Hill.
DAVID FORD: Yeah, it was solid. I feel like I missed some shots coming down the stretch, especially on the back nine, those are usually easy shots for me. I think a 9-iron from the middle of the fairway on 15, and then a few loose iron shots coming in. Overall, felt great about the round, was able to make some putts when I needed to. Speed on the putter was great. Had some good scrambling, too. Overall, just a solid day.
Q. Able to start with a birdie, but what was the atmosphere like getting out there today and starting your round off at this event?
DAVID FORD: It was pretty nerve wracking. I was pretty nervous pretty much the whole round, but especially on hole 1. Yeah, I think starting with early nerves is great, especially having a short putt, a short downhill putt, which is not the easiest for me sometimes. Having that to start off and getting that confidence was really good.
Q. Playing with Webb today, what was that experience like?
DAVID FORD: It was amazing. I think I couldn't have been more comfortable out there. I think he was the -- he was a huge part of why I played well today, just being comfortable and knowing him coming into the event. I had dinner with him Monday. Just got a good pairing this week. Was really happy to see that I was paired with him. He kept it light and kept me comfortable out there.
