Quick Quotes

Q. Conditions tough out there. Did it start to feel like it was improving a little bit coming down the stretch?

COREY CONNERS: Yeah, I think so. It was really a lot breezier this morning when we started our round, I would say, than it was at the end. Making that, even though the conditions maybe got easier, it was tricky to not, yeah, think that, or to trust that there was less wind, just because it was playing a big factor on a lot of shots early in the round. Yeah, definitely warmed up, which was nice, and I think the breeze calmed down a little bit, so we got fortunate with the weather.

Q. How nice to finish on 18 the way you did playing as one of the toughest, two toughest holes today?

COREY CONNERS: Yeah, hit a great drive, pretty solid iron shot, and was able to knock in a nice putt. Really pleased with that hole. Yeah, gives me definitely a good feeling going into the rest of the week.

Q. You've had four consecutive top-25 finishes here, you had a really good track record, what do you maybe attest that to or what is it about this place that seems to suit your eye?

COREY CONNERS: I know it's a really difficult golf course, it's demanding from hole 1 through hole 18, there's a lot of challenging holes. I think being patient, and I've always seemed to, I think the holes fit my eye nicely, and I've always struck it pretty well here. That's a big key around this place, being in control of your ball flight and ball into the greens.
