Quick Quotes

Q. How would you characterize the week overall?

SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: Decent. I did some good stuff out there. I started to drive it a little bit better this week, so that was a bonus. I didn't hole too many putts, it was really challenging out there on these greens. I mean, putting on a surface that's practically dead, the ball can have a life of its own. I'm proud of hitting a lot of good putts, just wasn't my week on the greens.

Q. Are you happy with where you're at going into next week, given the layoff?

SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: Yeah, I mean, like I said, I did some good things this week. I definitely did some things I feel like I can improve on, but yeah, overall I feel pretty good.

Q. Statistically with the driving and strokes gained off the tee, is that probably the area you're proudest of and looking forward to the most going into next week?

SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: Yeah, I didn't drive it very well the first few weeks coming out, so to have a good week off the tee was definitely nice. I could be definitely a little sharper with the irons, a little sharper on the greens, but overall I felt like I did a lot of good stuff and, you know, my bad week on the greens felt like I did a lot of things well, so overall I'm not going to look, I would say, too much into it.

Q. In the spirit of what have you done for the fans lately, has it dawned on you that maybe for the first time in 50 years someone's going to three-peat at THE PLAYERS Championship? A lot of people are talking about that Jack Nicklaus record standing the test of time, and you're in position to do well.

SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: Yeah, well, I'm not going to be thinking about that too much next week, just go in there with the right mindset. We'll head up there tonight and hopefully get some practice in tomorrow when the rain stops, and then get ready for the week.
