Q. How good is it to get the first win under your belt?
ABRAHAM ANCER: Yeah, it's nice, to advance out of these groups you feel like you got to win 'em all. But, yeah, playing Bubba, knowing that he's a past champion of this event, he knows what it takes, major champion, so he's got all the experience in the world. I knew I had to play some really solid golf and thankfully that was the case.
Hit the ball really well off the tee, really good iron play and made some putts when I needed to.
Q. Seems like you found a next gear on the back nine. Talk about those crucial holes.
ABRAHAM ANCER: Yeah, I played solid all round, I felt like. And I was 2-up and then Bubba came back nice with some nice birdies on 8 and 9, which are tough holes, and I just knew I had to make birdies coming in and was able to do that. It was nice to make those putts, knowing that I needed to and definitely gives me confidence.
Q. (Question about match play.)
ABRAHAM ANCER: Yeah, I love match play. I just feel like the mentality is completely different than just a regular event. And I enjoy it, I think it's fun, you get to play a little more aggressive or maybe a little more defensive depending upon the situation and the only opponent is right there playing with you and against you, so I enjoy that a lot.
