Quick Quotes

Q. Great week. Feel like you got to be excited.

ANDREW KOZAN: Yeah, feeling good. Yeah, it was a blast. Yeah, as I said, it was a blast. Man, really enjoyed the opportunity to play this week, let alone have a good weekend as well.

You know, kind of stinks how I finished there on 16 there. Had a lot of good looks today. Hit the ball great today I felt like. Just couldn't get the putts to drop again like yesterday. Definitely a lot of positives to takeaway from the week going into the rest of the Korn Ferry Tour season.

Q. Did you come in with expectations, or are you more the type to just kind of let's see how things shake down?

ANDREW KOZAN: I would say a little bit of both. Like I feel like -- yeah, that's a tough question. I don't really have too many expectations coming into events that are out of my control. I have a lot of expectations when it comes to preparation, so it was nice to get the call Sunday to know I still had Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday to go through a full preparation for three days just like any other week.

So stuff like that I'm able to control. When it comes to a certain number, not really. Me and my coach have been working a lot like on like a hold shot into a right-to-left wind, so that was one I was working to really have a good one this week and perfect that, which I did for the most part I felt like.

But that's kind of a loaded question I feel like.

Q. Yeah.

ANDREW KOZAN: So I would say no expectations and just work on some controllable stuff, which I did, which I'll take away positively.

Q. So was it weird playing with someone else today after yesterday?

ANDREW KOZAN: Yeah, kind of got spoiled yesterday that was kind of nice.

Q. Your caddie was telling me you guys played lightning fast.

ANDREW KOZAN: We did. I think it was like three ours or so, which is really nice compared to five, five and a half hour rounds.

Q. You also said yesterday when up young you would come here saying, One day. How was that is as far as your expectations?

ANDREW KOZAN: No, it great. It was overall a phenomenal week. I mean, it was a dream come true as I said. Billy is a great guy, too. It was great getting to know him a little bit today. I played with some great players this week. Got a lot of experience and know I can compete at this level now for sure.

Q. So along those lines going back to the Korn Ferry Tour, you think you're going to take this and say, Hey, I'm good enough to be up there?

ANDREW KOZAN: Yeah, I feel like every time you play a bigger event -- I got similar vibes when I played the U.S. Open as an amateur. You kind of leave the week saying, okay, like it's a really fine line. Yeah, these players are really awesome, but the line between Korn Ferry and PGA is just so subtle.

Once you go out and play an event like this and you're able to compete and make the weekend, you learn so many of the small things that it really takes to make the transition from one tour to the other.

Q. Kind of like, okay, I see how they do that.

ANDREW KOZAN: Yeah, exactly. Very small stuff.

Q. When you played in the Open, did you play with any marquee players, just other amateurs?

ANDREW KOZAN: No, played I remember I played a practice round with Lee Westwood, Bryson DeChambeau. They're hitting the ball really well, but once you get to the top couple tours in golf, I mean, everyone hits the ball so well. Comes down to they're hitting their wedges just a couple feet closer and make just a couple more putts. Half a shot a round can make the difference between Korn Ferry Tour and PGA, which is a super fine line.

Q. Did you figure out where you live?

ANDREW KOZAN: Lantana I guess. I live in Lantana now. Technically.
