Q. What is the mentality when you're going home and you have two holes to play the next day? Does it change?
CAM YOUNG: I mean, it is different because you kind of know the two shots -- I guess three shots you're going to have. But it's pretty much just praying for a 2 and a 4. I figured if I birdied 18, I might sneak in the top 10 just because there's so much golf left to be played, and obviously there's zero wind this morning. I expect to get passed by quite a lot of people.
But making the 2 I feel like is going to be a big difference when it comes down to the end.
Q. When you know you're not going to catch the leader in the clubhouse, your mentality is just climb the leaderboard as much as you can?
CAM YOUNG: I was trying. I spent a bunch of time on the last, but obviously it's a 50-footer, probably not going in. I mean, it's just -- 17 is hard even with no wind. It's kind of one that you know you're not going to make a 2 tapping in. It's going to be a 20-footer if you hit a shot the way you mean to.
It's like when you're trying to make two birdies coming in, that's kind of a bummer, but it's the reality of that hole. You just can't aim at that flagstick. It was just coming out and trying to hit three solid shots and see what happens.
