Q. Solid week overall, in the top 10. What are you happiest about from your week?
NICOLAI HØJGAARD: I'm really happy that I made a good jump on the weekend. Didn't feel great about the game the first couple of days, so to find something yesterday, or at least grind out a good score yesterday and then play really, really well today was nice.
Q. What do you think you found?
NICOLAI HØJGAARD: Just a bit more calm about decision making, and I started to hit a ball a little bit better. Approach game today was pretty strong, which hasn't been great all week. When you're in position, you take advantage of good drives, then that's when you see good scores out there.
Q. You're second in the field currently in proximity to the hole. Is there anything technique-wise that you adjusted into this week or that you think you figured out or was better?
NICOLAI HØJGAARD: I think during the week went on, I kind of knew what shots I had in my bag and kind of where my misses were, and then I could manage it a little bit better on the weekend. It was huge for me to hole a putt on the 36th hole on 18 to make the cut, and then at this tournament, you never know what's going to happen on the weekend. Then to play solid over the last two days was really nice to see.
Q. What's the feeling like of making a putt to make the cut?
NICOLAI HØJGAARD: It's a great feeling. It's hard to describe, but it's such a great feeling, when you grind it out for five and a half hours on the golf course. It's a hard golf course if you're a little bit out of position, and to then, in the end, hole a seven-footer, it's such a nice feeling.
Q. You're looking good to get into Bay Hill next week. Were you aware of the Aon stuff throughout the week?
NICOLAI HØJGAARD: Yeah, I had an idea. I don't know or I didn't know how well I had to play this week. Either way, I would have played in Puerto Rico if I wasn't getting in. Yeah, looking forward to it. I like playing at Bay Hill.
Q. How do you describe that course, and what's it like being Arnold Palmer's tournament?
NICOLAI HØJGAARD: It's a strong golf course. This week is a bit of a sneak peek of what Bay Hill is, but Bay Hill is a little bit harder. It's a bit more of a ball striker's golf course. You've got to keep the ball in play and strong approach game. But yeah, I'm looking forward to it. I've played there a couple of times and have always wanted to come back.
Q. What's the benefit of the Aon Next 10/Swing 5, getting the opportunity to play your way into those events?
NICOLAI HØJGAARD: Yeah, I think the way the TOUR is structured, I think you have to do something like that, otherwise I don't think it would have been completely fair to the whole membership. You've got to play well out here. If you play well, you'll be in the right tournaments. So that's the goal.
