Q. Bernhard, your overall thoughts on the week?
BERNHARD LANGER: Overall it's pretty positive. I saw a lot of positive in my game. Just made a couple errors, a couple of three-putts, and yesterday bad wedge that led to a double bogey, and then one drive in the water.
A little bit here and there, just a little rust.
But overall I'm only three behind the winner. Could have easily had those three somewhere. Overall it's pretty positive.
Q. What were your thoughts on how Steve played today?
BERNHARD LANGER: He played extremely solid, never really made a mistake, he just kept the ball in play, hit good shots, and made a couple of good putts but had a couple other chances, too. He played really, really steady, just the way you're supposed to play around here. Hit a lot of 3-woods off the tee, but he's pretty long still, and yeah, gave himself lots of looks and never had any total stress to get up-and-down or anything like that.
Q. Looked like that eagle putt on 15 was going to fall and it didn't.
BERNHARD LANGER: Yeah, it looked like it was a little downgrain and it wasn't fast, so I don't know. That stuff happens out here quite a few times. My pace was off. Now that you mention it, three-putted one time after just making two good putts for birdie on 11 and 12 or something, and then I ran my first putt 12 feet by or 10 and missed the return. It's just strange. It's not me. Usually I have pretty good pace on the greens.
Q. What happened on the tee shot on 16?
BERNHARD LANGER: Well, I made a mistake. Actually teed it off on the right side, and as I was thinking I was thinking maybe you should go over there and have a different angle and just pulled it five yards and the wind didn't touch it. It hit the fairway, but it trickled down the bank. Again, mistake I shouldn't be making. I should be teeing it off on the left side and play away from the hazard. It's just small things that add up. It's just rusty. Haven't played a whole lot, and it shows.
