Q. Okay, 2-under in your first round out on PGA Tour Champions. Can we just get your thoughts on the day?
BRIAN GAY: Yeah, tale of two nines really. Good start. Birdied four of first five. I was kind of cruising along. Hit some -- hit a couple balls out of play. Just kind of didn't hit it as good on the back nine.
Q. And how much were you looking forward to this, turning 50 and being able to come out on PGA Tour Champions?
BRIAN GAY: Yeah, it's exciting. It's really strange though. I feel like I don't know where I'm at kind of. It's so different. You know, it's close to home, down in Florida, so I thought I would come this week and see what it's all about.
Q. What do you think your schedule will kind of look like going forward balancing the two tours? You think you'll play out here mostly?
BRIAN GAY: No, just the opposite right now. Do the Florida swing on the regular tour, and then probably Valero and Hilton Head and maybe out here again in Dallas, ClubCorp.
Q. Okay. Majors out here?
BRIAN GAY: Yeah, I got an invite to the Senior PGA last week I think. Don't know much about that, Benton Harbor.
Maybe one in Birmingham. I really hadn't got that far. Too many choices it's kind of hard to put the schedule together right now.
Q. What are your general impressions? I know it's only been a few days out here, but just general thoughts on what you've seen so far.
BRIAN GAY: Yeah, it's great to see a lot of old, familiar faces, which is neat. Same thing as anywhere though, you got to play good golf, period. Doesn't matter. Everybody out -- they're great players, so you still got to go out and play good golf.
Q. Been amazing to see Langer at the top of the leaderboard?
BRIAN GAY: Yeah, I saw that. Oh, he's only 7-under, I thought. I mean, I don't think they could find a better golf course for him probably. Yeah, it's pretty amazing. Very amazing.
Q. What's it feel like for you competitively to get out on this tour and be right in there, contend, and win some titles out here?
BRIAN GAY: Yeah, I think that would be -- that would make it more exciting for me, as opposed to battling with the young guys, you know.
So I've kind of left it open. But I come out here I'm like, Oh, this is great, get in the mix, but I'm like kind of change that schedule around. I'll have to figure it out still.
Q. Right now after this one you won't have a Champions start for a while?
BRIAN GAY: Right now not until Dallas. I just kind of contemplated in my head. I want to go to attorney Tucson because we used to play there. Right now, I'm planning. It is Friday though, so I got to make up my mind pretty fast.
I wouldn't do Newport being the week before The PLAYERS. So, I don't know. I may -- I got to call and find out. I don't know what my options are on Friday afternoon.
