Q. Paul, nice playing; did you treat today like it was a Sunday, a final round type thing?
PAUL BROADHURST: I guess with the weather forecast for tomorrow you are never sure. You want to try and put a good score on the board and see what happens tomorrow.
Yeah, lap the gods really.
I played pretty solidly. Silly three-putt on, which hole? Early on. I made a bogey. I think the second I three-putted from 25 foot, which was poor.
Got the round going. Just played solid. There are some relatively easy holes and some tough holes as well. Just one or two good driving holes that get your attention when it's blog across the wind.
It wasn't an easy say. You have to master the conditions pretty well.
Q. Did you come into the week feeling pretty good about the shape of your game?
PAUL BROADHURST: I didn't play very well in Hawai'i a few weeks ago. It was funny, when I went back home, went to see my coach and he had gone to Maldives on holiday, so actually got my son to have a look at me. He's trying to make his way on mini tours and hasn't quite made it yet, but he's a good player and knows the game.
Gave me a few pointers, so we been working on that for the last two, three weeks. I even brought him out here, so he's been keeping an eye on me this week. So far it's gone okay. Feels a little bit awkward at times, but just got to try and trust it and so far it's worked out.
Q. What did he see in your swing?
PAUL BROADHURST: I mean, he just said -- I've been struggling a little bit. I've been getting a little bit inside. Always a problem of mine. Clips in the backswing too early, way inside, and then I struggle to get back at it. He's just given me a little idea just to keep the club a little bit more out in front of me.
I'm is not saying it's perfect. It's still inside, but it's better than it was. I'm hitting some better shots anyway.
Q. What's his first name?
PAUL BROADHURST: Sam.
Q. And I was going to ask you, all the golf you played, potential for a 45-hole tournament. You ever had one of those?
PAUL BROADHURST: I don't think so. I don't think I've played nine on the final day. Be strange I'm sure.
We'll see what the weather is doing. If it's really bad we might not even get out. I don't know. We'll see.
Q. Exciting to be in this position?
PAUL BROADHURST: Yeah, I guess it was a little bit of a surprise coming into the week. You're never sure. Working on something that doesn't quite feel me, and so, yeah, it's a funny game this. Sometimes you go into a tournament expecting nothing and you play well. Other weeks you go in feeling like you're playing great and you do nothing, finish 50th. I never know what to expect.
