Q. Ernie, great start to the Chubb Classic here in the first round, particularly the inward nine. Tell us what was going on for you.
ERNIE ELS: Yeah, I got the ball up and down well. Birdied the par-5s and made a couple other birdies on the 4s. But I got it up and down on 18 and on the 15th hole, par-5, so played a good back nine.
Was a bit more scoring opportunities on the back so kind of took advantage of that.
Q. Overall pleased with the way you started?
ERNIE ELS: Yeah, I'm pleased with this. To get a 67 out of this, 5-under, after really being slow on the front, got to be happy with that.
I'm sure somebody is going to end up with a 65 or 4, bit for me, I'll take that. I wasn't really at my best today.
Q. And mindset going into tomorrow?
ERNIE ELS: Yeah, I'm feeling good. It's really nice and warm. Depends what the wind does. It was kind of down today and I see it's going to blow on Sunday and maybe even tomorrow, so we'll see what happens. You know, you just take it day by day and hopefully I can stay in the mix.
