Q. 6-under round today. I thought it was pretty stress-free. You had to make an up-and-down at 17 but really good ball-striking, good putting, good iron play. It was a good day.
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: Yeah, it was a good day. I felt like I could have shot a lot lower. Felt like I had some putts that were going up and at least had a chance of going in and didn't. But other than that, yeah, played really good golf. Yeah, proud of today's effort.
Q. You said at the beginning of the week you complimented, you said golf course designers should look at this place, that you don't have to build 7,600-yard golf courses. You've only been here one other time and you've adjusted nicely. What is it about this layout that you like and that you're able to attack?
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: Well, I think I like that you don't have to bomb it around this place. There's more than one way to get around the golf course. There's some holes where distance can be an advantage, and there's plenty of holes where you've got to place the ball and move it around the trees. I'm a big fan of trees on golf courses, so getting to play a place like this where there's a lot of trees is nice, especially when you're not hitting it in the trees. That's always a good thing.
Q. You said yesterday you kind of got off to maybe a little slower start, that you were a little too relaxed. Did you feel like you got off to a quicker start today in your round?
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: Yeah, nice start. I had the nice birdie there on 2, really good up-and-down. Another good birdie on 5, and then felt like I had -- didn't really struggle for par too often today. I felt like I was attacking the golf course pretty well. Was able to post a good number.
Q. You said yesterday you almost had more energy at the end of the day than you did at the start. Did the trend continue today?
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: Yeah, I felt like today when I stepped on the first tee I was ready to go. Yeah, still feel pretty good.
