Quick Quotes

Q. Kurt, your lowest round ever at Harbour Town. What was key today?

KURT KITAYAMA: Just hit my irons really well. I finally got some putts to drop today. I think just my ball-striking was really on point today.

Q. How do you compare and contrast today and yesterday? What did you do better today?

KURT KITAYAMA: I think overall I hit it a little bit better. But today felt like I made a lot more putts.

Q. Was there anything you worked on after the round yesterday that was helpful today?

KURT KITAYAMA: Yeah, trying to get a little feel on the greens, kind of standing over the lie and trying to get a little balance and see -- I think there's a lot of little subtleties here that it's hard to notice, so that kind of helped today.

Q. When you're having that post-round work, do you go in with a plan of this is what I want to get accomplished or is it more feeling it out?

KURT KITAYAMA: Yeah, a little bit of a plan. I feel like with yesterday after the round, I was having trouble reading the greens, so I just went out there and that was my plan, to try to figure out how I can feel the break a little better.

Q. What's it like playing alongside Rickie and just the energy that the crowd --

KURT KITAYAMA: Yeah, it's great. A lot of people following, which is always fun. He's a great playing partner. He plays fast. He's just easy to get along with.

Q. You'll have a later tee time tomorrow. How do you anticipate spending the rest of today and then early tomorrow?

KURT KITAYAMA: Might practice a little bit, but for the most part, it'll be a lot of rest, just hanging out.

Q. Do you go explore the area at all or kind of hang at the hotel or house?

KURT KITAYAMA: Kind of depends. I think maybe my fiance and I will go to the beach or something, kind of just hang out and relax.

Q. For a Saturday being late, what time do you try to get to the course and --

KURT KITAYAMA: About two hours is when my whole routine starts.

Q. Do you in the morning try to keep your mind off golf or do you watch some of the early telecast, follow the board?

KURT KITAYAMA: I'm usually watching. You kind of see how the greens are playing as the day goes. It's kind of nice to get a little idea of how it is out there.

Q. What are you most looking forward to this weekend, kind of having a chance to contend here at Harbour Town?

KURT KITAYAMA: Yeah, we're always playing to try and be up near the top of the leaderboard and having a chance at the end of the weekend. Yeah, excited for it.
