Quick Quotes

Q. Gary, nice playing today and this week. What's been clicking for you throughout the week and today specifically?

GARY WOODLAND: I mean, the game top to bottom has been very good. It was nice to get off to a good start today, make that eagle early, see a putt go in. I've hit it very nice this week but haven't seen a ton of putts go in and I saw some long ones today which is nice. Hopefully that gets the lid off tomorrow for us. I've been riding a lot of confidence over the last couple weeks, and carried that into today.

Q. Will winning a few weeks ago help, do you think, tomorrow as you try to manage your emotions and try to get ready to attack the course?

GARY WOODLAND: I'm battling a lot more emotions than winning out here. I'm focused on trying to take care of myself and get through the day. Obviously I'm playing nice, which helps, but we'll take it one step at a time.

Q. What's it mean to be back in the mix so quickly after winning?

GARY WOODLAND: It's nice. It shows that I have a lot of good people around me helping me get through some tough times. But I'm proud of myself for the way I fought today and hung in there. It started getting a little tough there late, wind picked up a little bit, so happy with where I'm at.

Q. You spent some time with Scottie lately and you guys share Randy Smith. What impresses you about Scottie and his game and the way he approaches the whole thing?

GARY WOODLAND: What impresses me about Scottie? Everything, both on and off the golf course. He's just a stud. Does the right things. I learn visually, so being able to spend that much time around him and watch what he's doing, there's no doubt it's helped me and helped my game.
