Quick Quotes

Q. Sepp, nice few rounds to put yourself in a good spot heading into tomorrow. How do you feel about your game and what's been clicking for you this week overall?

SEPP STRAKA: Yeah, I feel pretty good about it. I haven't done anything crazy special other than make some putts, which has been nice. I feel like historically I've played pretty well at this course. I hit it pretty straight, and distance isn't a huge advantage here. I think I haven't really done anything crazy special, just made some putts, and yeah, fortunate to be in a good position going into tomorrow.

Q. Is there anything that you're going to try to work on tonight or tomorrow morning to hone in and give yourself an extra kick?

SEPP STRAKA: I don't think so. I think just keep running the same routine, hopefully be a little more precise with my iron shots into the green, and then, yeah, try to keep making some putts and see where we end up.

Q. Is there any part of your routine that's been new either this week or in the last few weeks or this year that you've kind of put an emphasis on for this season specifically?

SEPP STRAKA: There's a few, like, drills in the gym that I've kind of swapped out since last year, but nothing -- I do that routinely. Nothing crazy. Pretty much everything is running the same program. Just keep doing the same process.

Q. Do you think past victories and successes -- are you someone who internalizes them and draws on them into tomorrow, or do you treat it as a totally new experience?

SEPP STRAKA: It's going to be a totally new experience, I'd say. But you can always -- anytime you get in contention or you're in a spot, you can always learn something from it and apply it later on. I definitely will be drawing on some of those things. But you've just got to know that tomorrow is a completely new situation, new leaderboard, new golf course actually, and yeah, playing with a new wind tomorrow, so will be completely different.

Q. You'll be chasing Fitz tomorrow. What kind of time have you spent with him being a Ryder Cup teammate, and what about his style of play do you think is a good match for this course?

SEPP STRAKA: Yeah, he's gotten some practice in, I guess, since he was a youngster. But no, he's a tremendous ball striker. Putts the ball incredibly well. On this golf course, you just have to hit it accurately, and he does that very well.

Q. Are there similarities between your game and his game, would you say?

SEPP STRAKA: I'd say he's probably a little bit of a better putter than me. But yeah, I'd say some similarities. I think he hits it a little farther than I do. But overall, I think both of us kind of lean on our iron play a lot of times, and that's kind of what my game is kind of built around.
