Q. Talk about your round in regulation and then the playoff.
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: Yeah, I did some solid stuff. I think I had only one bogey over the weekend here, so did a lot of really good things. Would have liked to have seen a few more putts go in, but overall I executed the way I wanted to. It was just challenging out there. The wind is swirling all around, and it was hard to make birdies late in the day.
Q. How does being in a playoff amp up your competitiveness?
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: It's more of the same. I think it all comes down to execution.
Q. When you finish runner-up like last week, this week, what's the balance between finding the positives but also reflecting on what you could have done to win in retrospect?
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: Yeah, I think in both weeks I put myself behind the 8-ball going into the weekend and had really nice Saturdays and Sundays in order to get myself into contention.
On Sunday it's a shot here or there that makes a difference. This was one of those weeks where anytime Fitzy needed something to happen, he made something happen. He definitely earned the win, and he just played great golf.
Q. It was a very pro-Scottie crowd out there today; how does that affect you?
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: It's nice always to get some support from the crowd. I thought they were pretty cordial in terms of cheering for me and not cheering against Fitzy, so I was definitely appreciative of that.
Q. Did you think your chip on 18 in regulation was going in at any point?
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: I was surprised that it stopped with how much wind was blowing that direction, but overall I wanted to get it around the hole with the right speed in order to go in, and I hit a good shot. It just came up just short.
Q. Win or lose, how does it feel to have your family here supporting here?
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: Yeah, it's great. We've got a long trip home tonight, so I'll get out of here and get home and get some rest.
