Q. Guys, excellent day for you. Keith, we'll start with you. Just talk a little bit about how good this guy was today.
KEITH MITCHELL: He was honestly incredible. The front nine was some of the best golf I've ever seen played ever, 6-under through eight holes.
9 was playing incredibly tough and just made a perfect up and down there on 9 to shoot 6-under on the front.
It was just fun to be a part of. I could only help him on two holes. I ended up making par on one of them and bogeying, but it just didn't matter. He was playing so good. I was high fiving him and watching him roll.
I tried to contribute a little the last few holes. All in all, 10-under par is -- in my opinion, Sungjae probably could have shot that on his own, but I helped him on a couple holes out there.
Q. What was the best shot that stood out on that front nine from him?
KEITH MITCHELL: I would say his 3-wood on -- second shot on No. 7. His 3-wood from the right rough through the trees.
How far did you have?
SUNGJAE IM: 260 yards.
KEITH MITCHELL: In meters?
SUNGJAE IM: Meters, 240.
KEITH MITCHELL: Oh, he even already translated it in yards. Look at this guy.
It was an incredible shot. Hit it up there, two-putted for birdie. It just made my front nine very stress-free.
Q. You were originally on the fence about playing here this week. You feel pretty good about your decision now?
KEITH MITCHELL: I'm feeling really good about Sungjae's golf game. The guy has proven he's one of the best players in the world. He's only 25 years old, and the fact he's only won twice, I think is underrated for how good his game is.
Being 25, being his fifth year on TOUR, and this amount of talent, I think we're going to see a Hall of Famer in the future.
Q. Sungjae, after playing with Keith, would you ever consider wearing the visor?
KEITH MITCHELL: You like the visor?
SUNGJAE IM: For me, no (laughter).
Q. Keith, you'll be one back but playing in the last group. Just talk about how much fun this will be for you guys tomorrow.
KEITH MITCHELL: Honestly, it hasn't even felt like we've been in contention as much just because he's playing great. I'm here trying to help out as much as I can and giving us high fives and smiling.
If we can do exactly what we've done the last three days, we'll see what happens after No. 18 tomorrow.
Q. Any changes to strategy tomorrow?
KEITH MITCHELL: Zero. Laser beams and smiles.
Q. You'll still be driving it off 6?
KEITH MITCHELL: Oh, yeah. Why you bringing up this crap?
You hear that? He's talking about my drive on 6 again (laughter).
