Q. If you can just talk about your round today. First round back after winning The Masters.
HIDEKI MATSUYAMA: I struggled with my short game today. I did hit some good shots, and it was fun to play in front of the fans and the gallery today. Very warm welcome, and it was encouraging to play in front of fans again.
Q. I was going to ask, just what kind of well wishes were they sending to you as you were walking the fairways?
HIDEKI MATSUYAMA: Yeah, I really felt like a Masters champion because every hole, every hole, there was just a warm applause and welcome. It was really good to play as Masters champion.
Q. Given the time that you had off from playing, were you able to knock off the rust, so to speak, from that time off?
HIDEKI MATSUYAMA: First couple of days of practice there was a lot rust to shake off, but once the bell rings you can't worry about that. You just go out and do your best.
