Q. Just an opening comment on your round?
ADAM SCOTT: Yeah, all really good solid stuff, especially off the tee. It's probably the best I've driven it in forever. That was a nice way to start every hole.
Took advantage of that nicely, certainly out of the gates on some of the long par-4s, birdieing three of the first four holes on that side is a nice way to start. Was happy to keep it going all the way around.
Q. Coming in off a high finish last week at the Wells Fargo Championship, did you feel like you had some momentum coming into the week?
ADAM SCOTT: Yeah, the game was feeling really good there last week, and getting a result is always good for the confidence, too. Coming here on a course that's going to throw a lot of birdies out there, getting in that attack mindset was key, and take advantage of the good swings.
Q. Obviously you've been out here a long time, you've dealt with a lot of weather in your career. How does the weather forecast the rest of the week affect your preparation tonight and trying to keep it going the rest of the week?
ADAM SCOTT: Well, I'm just hoping we get lucky and it's not as bad as it looks, for many reasons, for delays and also for the condition of the golf course. It would be nice to have a well-prepared course over the weekend and try and test us as much as it can.
It is what it is, and if it gets soft, we're going to have to make even more birdies probably.
