Q. Great round, 7-under par today. Just get some comments on your play.
PATTON KIZZIRE: It was a good round. Made a few putts. Missed a few putts too, but I gave myself a lot of chances today. I've started it hit the ball better and better. This week has been a lot more fun.
Today just the score added up a little bit more like I've been playing.
Q. Are you a little bit disappointed with the missed putts? Feel like you left some out there?
PATTON KIZZIRE: Yeah, I am disappointed. I don't normally miss too many putts. That's the strength of my game. Yesterday I didn't putt well at all, and then today I had so many opportunities that I missed some really short putts that bothered me.
But I just kept going. You got to have a short memory out here and I have that, so it was good to get one at the last there.
Q. James had it going, too. Talk about you guys playing so well together.
PATTON KIZZIRE: Yeah, we had a good group, a lot of birdies, very few bogeys. It's fun to feed off each other. James is a fun guy to play with. Played with him last week and I played with Chris Stroud the first two days, so very familiar group. We all made some birdies, so that was fun.
Q. Pretty windy right now. What was it like throughout the round?
PATTON KIZZIRE: Yeah, seems like every day it's a little calmer in the morning and then shortly before lunch the wind starts picking up, some of the holes start playing long.
But I really made a great birdie on 16. It's one of the harder par-4s on the course. Hit a good drive and flushed a 6-iron in there and rolled in a nice putt.
18 plays a little longer with it being into the wind. Yesterday I had to layup it was so windy. Today was able to go for it and another birdie.
Q. Mindset going into tomorrow? I'm guessing you would like it to blow a lot this afternoon.
PATTON KIZZIRE: I don't imagine I'll be two back going into tomorrow, so the pedal will have to be down and I'll have the best round of week tomorrow to have any kind of chance.
