Quick Quotes

Q. How would you assess your opening round 64?

SI WOO KIM: It was a good round, then I putted great. Hitting was a little off, but I kind of still take it. Yeah, it was a good round.

Green was a little tougher than I thought. But I putted really good today, so it was a good round.

Q. What are you seeing out there on the course with the rainfall over the week?

SI WOO KIM: I was kind of nervous the last hole, kind of something's coming, but we finished it. So I was kind of lucky. Hopefully the rain doesn't stop too much and we get through the Sunday.

Q. Now that you've played the course a couple times, what are your overall impressions of the changes?

SI WOO KIM: I wasn't sure on the practice round, like this is good or bad, but actually I played today, it's kind of much better than last year.

The fairway is way narrower than I thought, and some spots, like you can't miss it short-side. It's a great course. I kind of like it.

Q. You guys as a group, it seemed to be a good group. Obviously you know Scottie very well, but all you guys seemed to be a comfortable pairing for you?

SI WOO KIM: Yeah, we had a good start. Always playing with Scottie is enjoyable, and then especially that's two of my favorite players. Yeah, it was a really good round we had.

Q. Can you speak specifically about the new green complexes and what you thought about them?

SI WOO KIM: I like it a lot. I don't know, next three days where they're going to put the pin, but it was really good today. We'll see next three days.
