Quick Quotes

Q. Finished with 45 points. Walk me through that eagle on hole No. 6 today?

TIM BROWN: Anytime I'm, like, 120 yards in I have an opportunity to hit my little punch shot, I call it. Every time I hit the ball [inaudible]. That one was going right at the pin. So I was -- it didn't hit the pin. I freaked out. And it was sitting there for a second and rolled in. I mean, it's just one of those moments.

This game can be so brutal. But when things like that happen, it sort of evens it out for you.

Q. How did that kind of level set or kind of change the course of your round today?

TIM BROWN: I was struggling. I was struggling. I started two bogeys early on. I had a par. I think I had two pars, three bogeys and two pars at that point. So getting that eagle on your card, it sort of gives you life. You look up and all of a sudden you're leading the group. You're like let's make it happen.

Q. That's a good book end to the week. Got the hole-in-one on Friday and the eagle today, finished with 45 points. Just assess the whole week this week?

TIM BROWN: For me, when this tournament is coming up, a month before, I'm always saying, you gotta go practice, gotta go play. Quite frankly, I didn't have time to do it. I've gotten out maybe once a week to play.

You come here, like, okay, just hit the ball in the fairway, try to. Don't hit it out of bounds and let's go and see if we can get it on the green. I felt like I was putting extremely well, so if I could get it on the green, let's see what happens.

The putting for the most part kept me going. I think yesterday I made nine pars without hitting the green in regulation. Anytime you can do that out here you know it's going to happen.

Q. You had the family here this week. So just talk about off the golf course just overall this week -- we all call it a summer camp. Talk about the week with the family here.

TIM BROWN: This is always a very special week for us. The kids, they're older now. You can't just say we're going to Tahoe. You've got to plan things out. But they look forward to it almost more than I do.

It's a beautiful thing to be around these guys. The nights are a lot more fun than the day. The days are work, fun work, but it's work. Nighttime it's a really fun place.
