Quick Quotes

Q. Just characterize your round for us today.

LUCAS GLOVER: Yeah, solid. Solid. I hit the ball nice. Didn't make as many putts as I have been. But 66, nothing to be that upset about.

Just a little bit off on my reads. If I would have read the greens a little better, it would have been one of those kind of career days. I hit it good enough for some low in the 60s, just didn't make anything.

Q. You've played well in the past here, obviously. What do you like about this course or what does it bring out in you?

LUCAS GLOVER: I don't have an answer for that for once. I don't know. I like it. It usually plays firm and fast and it's a little more difficult. But pretty soft out there right now.

But I just like it. Should be difficult, but not today.

Q. When you come off a win, does that give you a momentum or confidence boost?

LUCAS GLOVER: A hundred percent, of course. You step on the first tee and you say, oh, just a few days I did really good, so I feel pretty good about it.

I played pretty much exactly how I played last week, just didn't make as many putts.

Q. What were you expecting from the course?

LUCAS GLOVER: Pretty much what we had. It was soft-soft. There were a couple of places, not myself but guys in my group had a hard time finding relief, casual water. My only bogey on 6, I slipped on the tee and hit it 240 yards over in the hay.

It was pretty wet, and getting from tee to ball to green was really wet.

At least we got to play. It wasn't looking so good at 7:00 this morning.

Q. Tired?

LUCAS GLOVER: Yeah. We were joking walking off 18, feels like we walked 27 instead of 18, just the soft ground, and walking around, a bunch of extra steps today.

Q. What was the highlight from Sunday night to today of just relishing in the victory? Any messages received or anything like that?

LUCAS GLOVER: 314, and I think I knew 14 -- I'm just kidding.

I don't know. Since we finished so late, there wasn't much downtime. It was get the family home, get myself here, and I'm by myself, so just been talking to people on the phone and texting back and forth.

Sorry to be a downer, but no real highlights other than just the best feeling in the world is coming out here right after you win and all your peers congratulating you. I've said that after all my wins. That's my favorite thing about it is whether people like you or not, they congratulate you and tell you nice playing, and I think that's really cool.

Q. Is it as simple as the putter switch that led to these recent results?

LUCAS GLOVER: I think that's been the key to it. Then obviously not as much pressure on everything else. Kind of a cascade effect, working from greenback to tee instead of vice versa.

I don't feel like I've got to hit it perfect to shoot a good score, don't feel like I've got to chip in, so I don't miss a tap-in, stuff like that.

But yeah, it's just confidence there and then elevated each part of my game.

Q. Last week was pretty simple for you; it was either win or finish second to keep playing. It's a little bit more complicated. Is that easy for you to just eliminate and look at the fairway and the green and the soft turf?

LUCAS GLOVER: Yeah, I think the state of my game, if I take care of me, I'm going to be there. That's how I like it; it's up to me. I'm not going to pull for or against the guy in 50th or 51st or whatever. I feel like if do my job, I'll be in Chicago next week. I think that's probably how it should be.

Q. Do you even know who's in 50th?

LUCAS GLOVER: Probably those guys I played with because I know we're close. No, I don't. I really don't. It's no secret it's never been my favorite thing, so I'm just trying to play good golf. It takes care of everything else.
