Q. What did you and Tiger say --
LEE TREVINO: See now that I've turn the 82, I'm in Vegas every week. It stays in Vegas. We had a great conversation yesterday. It's beautiful. It would make headlines. You write about it and if it was visible, you figure it out. You write stuff, anyway, that's not true to go ahead I read it every day.
You're not getting nothing from me. I know when he's going to play and when he's not. He already told me all that stuff. He and I are good buddies. We've been good -- I've known him since he was eight years old. Appreciate him very much. I know what he's going through. I've gone through these back operations and stuff and whatever time limit you give him, he'll beat it.
Q. What was the occasion when he was eight years old, like a charity thing?
LEE TREVINO: Yeah, amateur. I was giving trophies out to juniors. But I've done that to 150,000 other kids, too. He wasn't the only one.
Q. Including Fred Couples.
LEE TREVINO: Freddie and I go way back.
Q. What did you see from Tiger?
LEE TREVINO: You're not getting anything from me. I told you that already.
Q. In general.
LEE TREVINO: He looks great.
Q. Are you surprised?
LEE TREVINO: No. He's Tiger. He'll do all right. Other than that, we didn't do anything. It was good.
Q. You had two putters in your bag?
LEE TREVINO: I always carry two putters: One is to throw and the other one is to putt with. If I three-putt, I throw the other putter, which one I like. I change. I go back and forth. I do that.
Next year I'll have 3-putters. I only use four clubs here. I have my tees up so far, I only need four clubs: Driver sand wedge, pitching wedge and putter. That's all I need. I love it. I'd play every day if I could play here.
