Q. I know it wasn't maybe the start you wanted to the day, but you recovered toward the end there. What did you see from the course?
MACKENZIE HUGHES: Yeah, course was playing I thought quite a bit tougher today. It was blustery and I would say every part of my game was just a tiny bit off. Like it was, like I had three, four drives that were a step into the rough and I really had a hard time on the greens. I didn't make hardly anything. I hit lots of good putts that just didn't want to go in. So just one of those days.
Q. You had stirring ovations from the fans on 16, 17 and especially 18 there. What's that mean to you?
MACKENZIE HUGHES: Yeah, it's awesome. Doing it with Mike and coming up those few holes you could feel tons of energy there, which was really cool. I would have liked to have finish a little better, but obviously it was really cool.
Q. How do you compare what you faced out there today, both the course conditions and the atmosphere with what you would normally face like at a major like you will next week?
MACKENZIE HUGHES: Yeah, conditions-wise everything that it was today it will be next week. Put the ball in the fairway, control your shots into the greens. And it was a really good test today. I wasn't up for the challenge, really, I just was off with just about everything, but hopefully two more days and get the putter heated up.
