Q. Matt, obviously not the finish you wanted today, but an important result for you nonetheless this season. What are some of the positives you take away from the week?
MATT McCARTY: It was a good week. Played well, didn't drive it great coming down the stretch. Something to work on for next week.
Played really solid. Especially after bogeying the 1st today, kind of held it together. Felt good out there mentally and physically.
Q. How tuned up do you feel in advance of the third major of the season coming up next week at Oakmont?
MATT McCARTY: I feel good. I think based off this week, and obviously like the Masters too, yeah, just nice. Kind of feel like my game's in a good spot and excited for next week for sure.
Q. Speaking of major championships, there's another major championship that you are in position for right now. How does it feel to have qualified for The Open?
MATT McCARTY: Yeah, awesome. That's kind of been on the back of the mind a little bit. I think kind of put a little bit too much pressure on myself the last couple weeks leading into this, but nice to have that and make that trip to Europe a little bit longer. It will be fun. So that's good.
