Q. What was the serenade like? What's it like to be out here on your birthday?
TOMY ROMO: Oh, man, it was incredible. Fans are incredible, such a great experience. They've got everything set up so well. I mean, if you're in town, you should come out this weekend because it's special out here.
Weather was great, conditions were great. They did a great job with the course setup. Greens were phenomenal. It was just a great day.
Q. How did things change when the wind started blowing?
TOMY ROMO: Yeah, the wind was blowing early, actually. I got off to a rough start today because right before I went to the tee I got a little grab in the back. It happens. I've had two back surgeries, and early morning time and everything. But I came back, battled back from it, so I think we're right near the leaders or something like that.
That was a good job just staying in it and trying to overcome and eventually started to come back toward that back nine, and then I got hot for a while, and I think we're in position.
Q. What does it mean to have the fan support?
TOMY ROMO: Oh, it's fantastic. Just so many people you've met over the years and fans that root for you, so many kids out here and everything. I'm a dad with three boys, so it just melts your heart a little bit just seeing everybody and how much they root for you and cheer for you. It makes it really fun.
