THE MODERATOR: How would you assess your opening round?
THORBJORN OLESEN: Yeah, it was nice. It was very good. Two really up-and-downs to finish the day off, but before that I thought I played really solid. Yeah, probably the best I've played this year, I would say.
THE MODERATOR: Last year final round, 61. What was coming into the week? Just having good thoughts?
THORBJORN OLESEN: Yeah, definitely had good thoughts. Feeling last year of that was good. I thought it was a really good week, and I enjoyed it last year. I looked forward to coming back here. This year I have my family with me. So, yeah, it's nice.
THE MODERATOR: What specifically do you like about the Dunes course?
THORBJORN OLESEN: Well, today obviously no wind, but last year we got a few windy days, and I thought it played pretty tricky.
I think this year it's a lot firmer. Obviously we had good conditions today, but I thought it played trickier than last year because of the firmness. If you get out of position, it's difficult to hit some of these greens. I think it's a really good setup. If it gets a little bit windy, I think it will be pretty difficult out there.
THE MODERATOR: You mentioned your family is out here. Did they join this week specifically or they've been with you the past couple of starts?
THORBJORN OLESEN: They came out last week and are going to be with me for a few weeks. Yeah, it's just nice to have my kids here and my wife and get to see them every day. We live quite far away, so it's nice to have them close.
Q. What's it like just being in Myrtle Beach? Obviously coming back, how cool is it to have an event here? What have you enjoyed about Myrtle Beach so far?
THORBJORN OLESEN: Yeah, just look outside. It's beautiful with being on the ocean. Like I said, I think the golf course is really good. Yeah, it's just a nice area. We had some good food and, yeah, just enjoyed the week.
Q. Can you talk about the greens and the quality of the greens? You said they were firmer this year. How did they play today?
THORBJORN OLESEN: I thought they were a lot firmer than last year. Like I said, if you get out of position, it's really, really tricky to hit some of the greens. Luckily for me, I was playing solid today.
I was in good position on most of the holes, so it made it a bit easier for me. Yeah, when I played Tuesday, I thought it was definitely a lot trickier.
Q. I've seen you only played seven tournaments this year. Is there a reason why your schedule seems to be scaled back a little bit maybe or...
THORBJORN OLESEN: No, I actually started off on the DP World Tour in the Middle East. We live there, so again, I could be with my family. There are some great tournaments in the Middle East at the start of the year on the DP World Tour, so that's how I plan my schedule.
Then I came over, what was that, end of February, start March. I haven't scaled down. I feel like I've played quite a lot this year actually.
