THE MODERATOR: The battle all day and a playoff. What's your initial reaction?
HARRY HIGGS: I'm proud and bummed out. It felt like this one was mine. Hopefully I get another chance, and I think that I will. I think that I'm on the right path, as long as I continue it.
I've had issues getting slightly complacent when I have some success, so I would like to prove to myself that I've learned from that and continue to get in the mix.
This was so much fun. That's, again, the reason why you do the 4:00 a.m. wake-ups, flying all around, doing all the things that we have to do just to have the chance that I just had.
I really enjoyed it. I'm really looking forward to the next time that I have this chance.
THE MODERATOR: While your first playoff here on tour, had them last season on Korn Ferry TOUR.
HARRY HIGGS: I don't lose playoffs. Yeah, it's fun. It's mano a mano instead of the 72 holes. Basically you're playing against yourself and the golf course, and then now you're kind of reading and reacting to what goes on in your group.
What an awesome shot Ryan hit. What an awesome three he made to drive it in the left rough and then have a chance to make birdie. It was pretty impressive on that hole.
I kind of did nothing wrong. I just misread the putt just a little bit. His chip was kind of on my line. It was not too hard, but it was moving pretty fast. So it made me play my putt maybe a little further right. I probably should have clued in that his had some speed to it. Should have played mine a little straighter. I should have hit the wedge closer than I did, 25 some odd feet.
Yeah, I've got nothing to hang my head on here. I proved a lot to myself really today and the last couple of days, especially playing in the rain. Yeah, really looking forward to what's to come next.
THE MODERATOR: What are you most proud of the week?
HARRY HIGGS: That I still I wouldn't say freaked out, but I still got angry, and for the most part I used that anger for good. I channelled it into getting ready to hit the next shot.
Then I was in a few odd spots today. It would have been really easy to kind of get caught in between two different shots that you're trying to hit. I just really didn't do that. I picked one and went with it. I was really proud of that.
Putted great. I mean, there were a handful that I felt that could have gone in that caught a lot of hole that didn't end up going in. It wasn't my week, unfortunately. But I'm super proud of myself for what I did, how I played, and how I acted and reacted to some anger and frustration throughout the week and channelled that for good.
THE MODERATOR: And final one, what's it like to have family there on the green side?
HARRY HIGGS: Oh, it's super cool. My wife, she flew in this morning. We share locations. She turned off her location, but she flew to Charlotte, so she had to turn it on to use the maps to get here. I had a sneaking suspicion.
Her and I are big into surprises. Now that we're sharing locations, we don't really get to surprise one another anymore, but big into surprise trips to see one another.
Yeah, awesome to have her there. My dad came in yesterday morning. Awesome to spend the night with him last night and the night tonight. It's just cool. It's cool to share it.
It's lonely when you're out there, but it's not lonely when you're finished, which is nice. Certainly go back and lean on them to -- I don't know. I'll not disappointed. We're probably just going to celebrate.
I have to do some sponsor stuff. I have to get halfway across the country tomorrow, but all good problems to have. I'm looking forward to celebrating tonight, especially with family. Yeah, back to the real world tomorrow.
