Q. Here alongside Matt McCarty. A marathon day of golf for you. You said you got up at 5:30 this morning. You come out this afternoon and rattle off four consecutive birdies and an eagle. What was behind the low round today?
MATT McCARTY: Yeah, I mean, I just hit it well. I kind of never do well in restarts. I kind of -- three pars today I guess was an improvement from what I normally do. Yeah, no, it was good. Just kind of hung around and stayed patient all day.
Nice to hit some shots close and make some putts. It was fun.
Q. You had a bit after wait on 16. Even sat down in the fairway. But then you step up and nearly hole your approach. How were you able to do that and get back into play mode so quickly?
MATT McCARTY: I think I needed a break, so I think it helps, you know, refresh the legs a little bit. I don't know, just a perfect number. Hit a good shot. Worked out well, yeah.
Q. After those three wins over the summer on the Korn Ferry, what did you learn from that experience that can help you here tomorrow?
MATT McCARTY: Simply just learn how to win. The experience of being in contention out there, I think it's very similar to kind of what I felt today, and honestly helped me just kind of feel a little bit calmer about it.
But, yeah, it definitely all kind of builds upon itself. You know, the last three months have been great in order to kind of get to that spot. Really excited for tomorrow.
