Q. Jackson, 9-under through two rounds. Talk us through what's working. 5-under yesterday and 4 today. Seems to be clicking for you?
JACKSON SUBER: Yeah, game has been solid. Hit it well off the tee. Approach game has been good, and then the putter has been great. Had my Tim Yelverton here early this week and I been putting well, but he gave me a feel that's really helped, so it's showed on the course.
Q. First time playing this event and this course. A little bit after unique one. How do you think it matches with your game and what are your takeaways?
JACKSON SUBER: Yeah, it's awesome. I mean, Black Desert Resort, this place is incredible. It's so cool through the lava rock. It's a very interesting course. There is a lot of challenge holes and there is a lot of holes that are pretty gettable birdies.
So I think it's working well for my game, but I don't really believe that any course really fits one person. If you're playing well, it's going to be well.
Q. Did you finish your round yesterday?
JACKSON SUBER: Yes, I did. Was the second group out, so we only had -- we finished within like 15 minutes I think.
Q. Beat the darkness is always a challenge.
JACKSON SUBER: Yeah.
Q. How do you set up for today? Was it comfortable, a little bit more comfortable than yesterday?
JACKSON SUBER: Yeah, the wind was more challenging yesterday. I had a weird start this morning. Had just a like couple plugged lies and bunkers and didn't really get them close.
Just kind of things weren't -- I mean, I wasn't hitting great shots but things really weren't going my way either with those. Then it started to kind of come together end of that back nine.
Q. Did you get a particular piece of advice to help you handle things since this is your first time here, challenges on the course?
JACKSON SUBER: My friend Greyson Porter is on the bag. He has helped out a lot. He played golf at Florida State and is from Tampa as well, so he's just been a good mind to have on the bag and kind of helping me stay in the present and figure out what to do.
Q. Is the biggest key, staying in the moment?
JACKSON SUBER: For sure. Just patience. There is a lot of holes out here that are really tough and there is a lot that are pretty gettable. Kind of knowing you don't have to go flagging shots on every hole, there is some holes where you kind of have to have some respect to the pins.
Q. And patient matters obviously.
JACKSON SUBER: For sure.
