Q. Michael, current clubhouse leader through 36 holes. What's been working well for you so far?
MICHAEL BRENNAN: Yeah, I've been driving the ball really nicely, putting the ball in the fairway a lot, giving myself some good wedge and short iron opportunities.
I've also made some nice mid-range putts the first two rounds, which always great to see those go in.
But just kind of looking to stay a lot of the same this weekend. Hopefully driver stays hot because if you're not in the fairway it's trouble out here. So, yeah, putting the ball in play is important.
Q. You've won three times on Americas. How much confidence are you pulling from that success of being in the winner's circle or being in contention so frequently these days?
MICHAEL BRENNAN: Yeah, it's given me so much great experience playing on the Americas Tour this year and having some success. We'll see where I end up at the end of today.
I feel like I'll definitely be more prepared for this weekend after having those experiences and I know it's not the same level, but I am going to try to treat them the exact same and see what happens.
Q. You have the Korn Ferry Tour locked up for next year. How special was it to get a sponsor's exemption to play here in Utah and does it free you up knowing you have that to fall back on for next year?
MICHAEL BRENNAN: Oh, yeah. Yeah, I've got great support and have to thank the tournament director, John, here this week for giving me a spot. It really means a lot. It's very exciting to be in TOUR event. I wasn't sure I was going to be play any this fall, so to have the opportunity to play in one is awesome.
Yeah, I'm just very grateful to be here. It's been a really fun week so far. Hopefully it stays that way. I know it will regardless of play, but be nice play well this weekend.
Q. Got your Americas status by finishing 12th in the PGA TOUR University ranking in 2024. I guess considering how far you've come in such a short period of time since turning professional, how special is that program to be able to set up guys coming out of college and be put in positions like this?
MICHAEL BRENNAN: Yeah, 100%. My game has gotten better since I graduated from college, but having the PGA TOUR U, just a place to play and where I can develop my game and feel like I can improve on a PGA TOUR, it's an amazing opportunity and very grateful for the program.
Q. Just one more from me. You've had some experience playing in PGA TOUR events. You've played at Riviera one year; you've played in the U.S. Open. Playing here now back on the PGA TOUR as a professional, does the feeling change at all in your mind in terms of the stakes and everything that comes with it?
MICHAEL BRENNAN: Yeah, there is maybe a little bit more on the line now. I feel like my experience level is much improved just as it was the first two times. So I do feel much more prepared this time around.
There is definitely a little bit of a kind of shell shock, like you watch these guys on TV, the first two years or first two TOUR events I have played. Just trying to get a little more familiar with that, and the whole Monday through Wednesday process has definitely helped a lot.
Q. Is there anything in your mind you feel like has changed in the last three or four months that really helped you see all this success on Americas and now that you're translating into you PGA TOUR start here?
MICHAEL BRENNAN: Yeah, I have a great team behind me. My family, friends, my coaches, management, caddie. Just so much belief in me, and I feel like their belief in me has willed me to believe a little bit more. I am really grateful and thankful for them, and they've been a huge part of my success.
