Q. Eric, 7-under today; great round. Kind of give yourself a chance tomorrow. What worked well?
ERIC COLE: Yeah, I think game felt pretty good. I didn't score as well on the front nine, but was able to score really well on the back, so definitely a good way to finish today.
And to have a little bit of pace with the leaders is nice. You know, I just got to go out tomorrow and kind of keep what I had on the back nine today going on the front tomorrow.
Q. You mentioned the front versus back. Anything that clicked after you made the turn today?
ERIC COLE: Not really. The bogey I made on nine was pretty frustrating, so maybe I just needed a little of anger inside to get me going. I don't know. But I made a lot of putts on the back, which was nice.
Just kind of tried to give myself as many looks as I could and was able to make a few of them.
Q. You've been in contention a handful of times on Tour. Is there anything you kind of reflect back and take from the chances you had and kind of use it this week?
ERIC COLE: Yeah, I think like you said, it's nice to have that experience to know what to expect tomorrow. You know, this is a little bit of an outlier because I'm a few back, four or five back or whatever. I really do need to play well. One thing I've learned is you don't have to play perfect to kind of even give yourself a chance.
So maybe give myself a little bit of a pass on a bad shot here or there and just stay focused on what I'm trying to do big picture versus getting bothered by a few bad shots here or there.
Q. So what does it mean that you made it to the last group? How much does that help being able to look the leaders in the eye?
ERIC COLE: Yeah, it's nice. Like I said, with a little bit of a gap there in the scoring it's nice to kind of see how they get -- like how they start off, and hopefully I can start off really hot and get up near them early so I'm in contention a little longer and give myself more chances.
Q. Any of the specific close finishes you've had in the past that feels like this one at all?
ERIC COLE: I don't know. That's a good question. I think I just look at them almost separate and take what you can from them.
I'm going to go out tomorrow and try and do what I did on the back nine today.
