Press Conference

Q. Can you describe one English word, what kind of person Hideki is?

SI WOO KIM: Japanese sensation.

Q. How does it feel being a veteran on this team, having played Presidents Cup before and being back now?

SI WOO KIM: Yeah, I always enjoy playing Presidents Cup and especially also enjoyed the last Presidents Cup, so excited to play it here, especially first time home game, so it's going to be fun and we're going to be enjoy.

Q. Does it bring out a different side of you this week compared to a normal individual tournament?

SI WOO KIM: Yes. There's not many chances to play team golf, so that's the most exciting part. Then especially we're all different countries, but we can get all one team. We're hanging out 24/7, so this week we're all kind of same country, where we come from.

Q. When did you start getting comfortable enough to do interviews in English?

SI WOO KIM: I'm still not comfortable with it, but the first five years I'm a little more scared, but now I'm getting better.

Q. Do you use an app? How do you work on it?

SI WOO KIM: No, I'm just learning from the subtitles and then these situations.

Q. Who are your closest friends on this team? Who do you know the best?

SI WOO KIM: I think all the Koreans, Tom Kim, Sungjae, Ben An.

Q. Are there any other weeks that you laugh as much as you do this week?

SI WOO KIM: I think this week is the most fun week all year.

Q. I wanted to ask you about the competitions you guys have been played the last couple days. What was the format yesterday?

SI WOO KIM: It was good, and then we prepared like four-ball, foursomes. We played a few holes foursomes, a few holes four-ball. It was good prepare, and then ready to go.

Q. Who was your partner today?

SI WOO KIM: I can't remember. Who was it? Oh, MacKenzie.

Q. Do you think you guys will play together?

SI WOO KIM: I think everything is possible, but I can't tell right now.

Q. Were you involved in any side bets?

SI WOO KIM: We played some games with all the matchups. Yeah, it was fun.

Q. They say a lot of gambling goes on.

SI WOO KIM: Yes, yes.

Q. (Indiscernible).

SI WOO KIM: I think so, like how they play versus Europe or how Europe is playing. I think there's always been looking, watching match play. It's good to watch the last Ryder Cup.

Q. What's the first time you ever watched the Presidents Cup?

SI WOO KIM: I think it was Melbourne when I was like eight, ten. At that time playing Geoff Ogilvy and all the captains right now. I was watching Presidents Cup, Ryder Cup.

Q. Did it mean something to you back then?

SI WOO KIM: Yes. I was loving it. I enjoyed it to watch this kind of competition. I always wanted to play when I grow up here. This is my third time, so it's going to be fun, and I'm going to enjoy it.

Q. What makes you think this could be the year that you could win?

SI WOO KIM: I think it's always we're underdogs, but I think this is a good time to win this thing, so we're excited. We've prepared everything going well, so excited.

Q. (Indiscernible).

SI WOO KIM: I played Liberty and Charlotte.

Q. Liberty was not fun.

SI WOO KIM: It was brutal, but I also enjoyed it. Then Charlotte, we're close, then we got a good weekend, so we got all the good vibes, the good memories. I guess we're confident.

Q. Does Hideki say much in the team room?

SI WOO KIM: Not much.
