Q. Si Woo, I've got to start with you. That was a clutch putt. How determined were you to get the full point?
SI WOO KIM: Yeah, I saw all four front groups winning points, so I knew I needed to get points and bring it to the game on. Yeah, we're game on.
Q. You really are game on. Ben, can you describe what the atmosphere was like in the team room last night and how different it's going to be tonight?
BYEONG HUN AN: I don't think it can get better than yesterday. We had a great night. I know we had a tough day, but golf is just golf. We were all about the families. It matters, but it doesn't mean anything. We're all having a good time out here. To be honest, it could not be better than yesterday. Yes, we won, but team atmosphere yesterday was amazing.
We'll probably go out there, have a nice dinner -- we almost partied yesterday, so we'll party again tonight, party tomorrow and party Sunday. Yeah, we came back today pretty strong. Yesterday was rough, but we always believed in ourselves, so we were glad that we got back in the game.
Q. What a dramatic day for the International Team, capped off by your win in the anchor match. Si Woo, I thought the match could have turned on holes 8, 9, 10 and 11. I thought that was really one of the keys.
SI WOO KIM: Yeah, I thought Ben was more than -- we're good friends, so we knew we had a good matchup, so we kept saying, we believe in each other and we can trust it.
8 through 14, like par-5, but we knew we're going to fight the last five holes, so we only focused on the last five holes?
Q. Ben, 24 hours ago this team was down 5-0. What was said last night in the team room that gave your guys inspiration that you could come back?
BYEONG HUN AN: Well, the usual stuff. We didn't change much. Like I said, the atmosphere yesterday in the team room was amazing. Yes, we were five down, but as long as we left here, we left everything in the cabin. We went back, had a great party. Yes, the atmosphere, it's golf. It's 5-0 down, but we know we played great golf. We know we have a great team.
Today same thing as yesterday, just try to go out there and play some good golf. Yesterday we didn't play good golf, but today we definitely played some good golf?
Q. How much did the energy change today in the gallery?
BYEONG HUN AN: Yep, they were amazing. They were fantastic. Thanks to Tom yesterday in the press conference. He tried to bring those people up. Yesterday I don't think we gave them much of anything to cheer for, but yesterday I think the momentum came our way and it kind of stayed our way. Hopefully can do that the next few days, and I think we need some help in the crowd, as well, but we have such a strong team, but we need all the help that we can get.
Q. On 18, how did you manage to get that win again?
SI WOO KIM: Yeah, it was a tough second shot, so I told him --
BYEONG HUN AN: Sorry.
SI WOO KIM: Just get me inside 15 feet, so I got it, and I knew I had a chance to win the putt. This is what something last time he did, so I made it. All the front four groups many points, so I need to game on.
Q. Ben, totally different day from yesterday. The crowd --
BYEONG HUN AN: It was amazing. Yeah, I don't think we gave them much to cheer for yesterday. We had a tough day. Didn't really have anything going on. But today was a completely different day. I was watching the scoreboard and it was all yellow. We had some good wins.
We played great today. Well, Si Woo played great today. You saw on the last hole, that's what he was doing all day. Clutch. We scrambled all day. It was tough fighting with Scottie and Russell, such good players. We knew it was going to be tough, and it all came down to the last hole, and Si Woo made a great putt to win, and it was a great match.
Q. You had both teams here watching and you had a putt to win the match. How would you describe the calmness you had over that putt?
SI WOO KIM: Yeah, I know I don't have to worry about next putt, so I can only focus I can hit it hard, as well. I only focus on make the putt. I just remember same thing happened last time Tom Kim did, and I knew I had to do it, so I made it.
Q. How much did the play of the International Team ahead of you inspire you guys in your match?
BYEONG HUN AN: A lot. Yesterday we had a tough day. 5-0 is never a good start. But we held our heads up high. Mike was amazing. Every one of us, just, this is golf. It happens. But we had three more days, a lot more matches to go.
They've all been there before, Ernie, Mike, Camilo, even Adam Scott, they've been there before, they've been down, but they always came back. They know how to do it, and they keep telling us, give us some confidence. That's why we believed in it, and it kind of showed today, as well. They've got such a good team, it's going to be a battle, but our golf showed up today?
Q. Will the attitude, the energy, the emotions be different leaving the golf course today compared to yesterday?
BYEONG HUN AN: I don't think it could be better than yesterday. We left everything in the cabin. We were on the bus, had the most fun so far. I think today will be fun again, and having dinner back in the hotel, it was amazing, almost like we were having a party, like a Sunday night party. Just kept it loose. Like I said, we know we played good golf. Just very unlucky yesterday. We lost on the 18th hole four of the matches, and it came very close. Like I said, I don't think it could be better than yesterday, but I know we'll have fun tonight again.
