Q. I've never seen a hole finish in the dark, being lit up by the scoreboard and with all that pressure. Patrick, can you describe the moment?
PATRICK CANTLAY: Yeah, I mean, it was a hard match all day. They played great. Xander picked me up really all day. I just love being out there with him, and we played a great match.
Q. The emotions, Xander, wow. It's crazy what you guys feel when you win an exhilarating match like this.
XANDER SCHAUFFELE: Yeah, it was a long day for a lot of people. PC was great. We had to pick each other up in certain spots. Pat made some seriously sick putts on the back nine and had some seriously sick chips to make it look really easy for me. It was an unbelievable match.
Q. Pat, I know you guys are close. That had to make it even more special.
PATRICK CANTLAY: Yeah, it's special every time we tee it up together in these events, and finishing like that after yesterday, getting the momentum going into singles tomorrow, the team is going to sleep well tonight, and we'll come out tomorrow firing.
Q. That was a big point you guys won.
XANDER SCHAUFFELE: We needed it. Yeah.
Q. What a way to finish as the sun was setting. What did you see in that putt?
PATRICK CANTLAY: Yeah, Xander helped me read it. It was like a cup out with some speed, and a putt like that will make me sleep a little better tonight.
Q. Xander, you're the away team. You heard it from the crowd. You saw some energy from your opponents out there. How much is that a motivation to you when you're here in Canada trying to win a Cup for the U.S.?
XANDER SCHAUFFELE: For sure. We're both trying to win a Cup, and we knew what happened yesterday, and PC and I just really wanted to get a point for our team. We really fed off each other and hung tough. Both the Kims played unbelievably well and they stuck it to us on a lot of holes, and we were just happy to get away with a 1-up.
Q. Your teammates rushed the green after he made that putt. How important do you feel like this last match was in regards to giving you guys momentum heading into singles?
XANDER SCHAUFFELE: There's something about putting in the dark and PC hitting the last putt, I don't know, maybe we should do it more often.
Q. What are you expecting from yourselves tomorrow in singles?
PATRICK CANTLAY: We'll get rested, we'll get prepared, we'll come out firing.
