Q. Patrick, your captain put you out late for moments like what you delivered on this back nine. What was your mindset today and how did you get this match done?
PATRICK CANTLAY: I felt like I hit a lot of solid shots all day. I made some putts early, didn't make very many in the middle, and it was nice to see that one go in on 16.
Q. The putter disobeyed on 15; it obeyed on 16. Walk me through that 57-foot marathon.
PATRICK CANTLAY: I was just trying to lag it up there. I felt like I had a good line. It had perfect speed. It just went in the last rotation. It was nice to see that one go in.
Q. How did you see the energy building for this team, and how did it carry you across the finish line?
PATRICK CANTLAY: The energy was good. I have confidence in my teammates out there to go get the job done.
