THE MODERATOR: Jannik, welcome back to Paris. How do you find the new site of the Rolex Paris Masters?
JANNIK SINNER: Yes, it's great to see so many changes. I feel like it's the second tournament we have of the year where many, many great changes happens, you know, Cincinnati and here.
It's great for the sport, you know, having also behind the scenes where we can eat, the areas, it's much more comfortable, bigger center court, and also Court 1 and Court 2, great, great courts.
Outside we have some great facilities where we can practice with a great, great gym and everything set up in a perfect way. Very happy to see these good changes. I feel like all players, we feel more, yeah, better here and, yeah, great improvements.
THE MODERATOR: Questions in English.
Q. It's a quick turnaround for you from Vienna and what happened with the cramping and all of this. How do you feel physically? Maybe have you been surprised to have the same issue coming back after Shanghai?
JANNIK SINNER: It was not same issue at all. I feel like was normal. You know, played five days in a row. The final was very physical. It can happen.
The body feels good now. A bit tired, of course, playing five matches in a row and coming here is not much time to recover.
But I'm happy. You know, I'm happy how I'm feeling. I recover every day better. So tomorrow is my first match. I'm very focused to hopefully play some good tennis also here. Then we see how it goes.
But I'm not worried physically. You know, I feel in a good shape also tennis-wise. So I hope for a good start, and then we see how it goes.
Q. Looking back into the season, you have overcome some challenges but also achieved many milestones. So emotionally, what moment had made you the proudest?
JANNIK SINNER: Well, it's difficult to say. I feel like one of our goals was to trying to go as deep as possible in Wimbledon, which, you know, couldn't have gone better as a result.
So if you ask me in that scenario, I would respond you to winning Wimbledon. But in the same time has been an incredible season, making, you know, four Grand Slam finals. Many, many great matches I played throughout the whole season. The season is not over yet.
A tournament I'm looking forward to is still Turin. Last year was an incredible run there. So we try to prepare ourself in the best possible way there. But, you know, before this, there is an important tournament what I haven't played last year, which is here. I never played well here. So, you know, hopefully I can change couple of things this year. Then we see how it goes.
But, you know, talking about the general season has been amazing. Very, very consistent. A lot of wins. So, yeah, I couldn't have, you know, asked for more, for sure.
Q. How important is it for you to be No. 1 at the end of the season? It's still possible, there is still a little room for that. Is it a goal for you?
JANNIK SINNER: No, it's impossible. Honestly, I'm not thinking about this at the moment. It's going to be a goal for next year. This year it's not in my hands. Let's say it like this.
But considering how the whole year went, you know, we have achieved some incredible things. Now I just want to finish the season the best possible way. If I can do something great, amazing. If not, I did something great already this year.
I will try, for me as also last year was, December is going to be a very important month for me, because I feel like we can make a lot of changes and a lot of work there. Also getting ready for the next season and the beginning of the season, I know how important it is for me for many scenarios.
So let's see what I can achieve and do there, but I'm relaxed. You know, I'm very happy what I did this year, and then we see what's coming. And that's it.
Q. You just said it was impossible to finish the year No. 1. Is it also impossible to reconsider your decision not to play for Italy at the Davis Cup?
JANNIK SINNER: No, the decision is made. But I said already everything about the thing some days ago.
